Description

Revisit the remarkable 1986 World Series with this New York Mets vs. Boston Red Sox collection of (7) items. In the 10th inning of a dramatic Game 6, Mets centerfielder "Mookie" Wilson grounded the tenth pitch of his at-bat to first base, where the ball miraculously got by Red Sox first baseman Bill Buckner, allowing Ray Knight to dash home from second, for a walk-off win that forced a Game 7. This stunning turn of events is recalled in fine fashion, with this selection of autographs and ticket stubs. Auction LOA from JSA for the signatures.

Featured are:

Bill Buckner single-signed ("7-8") ONL/Giamatti baseball (VG-EX);

"Mookie" Wilson single-signed ("8") ONL/Giamatti baseball (EX-MT);

Buckner and Wilson dual-signed 8x10 photo of the play described above (NM), with both autographs registering bold ("10") strength examples;

(3) 1986 World Series ticket stubs: Game 3 presents VG details with deference to staple holes at top; Game 4 (EX); Game 5 (GD-VG) with a written seat location;

1986 World Series program presents EX details with deference to a very small piece of tape on the back cover.
