One of his mighty blasts came on July 6th, as attested to by the first ticket stub and program pairing in this offering, which records Mantle's 221st home run. The Yankees opponents that day were the Boston Red Sox and their aging legend Ted Williams, who also blasted a dinger in the game, which is counted as the 477th of his illustrious career. Complementing the July 6th souvenirs, are a July 19th ticket stub and program, from a game against the Cleveland Indians, that saw rising star Roger Maris belt his 28th career home run.
