Ty Cobb went 3-for-5 with a double and Harry Heilmann belted a homer as the Tigers beat the Yankees 6-2 in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Brush Stadium on July 14, 1916. Neatly scored in pencil (with a period newspaper boxscore stapled on), this scorecard is separated at the spine and brittle at the chipped edges. It's accompanied by a pencil-scored program from the Senators' 13-9 win over the Indians at Griffith Stadium on May 26, 1920, when Walter Johnson and Tris Speaker both tripled! Of even greater significance, Cleveland's Ray Chapman received his fatal blow at the plate just 3 months later. Condition would be VG-EX except for a circular hole at upper center of the cover.
